There are 4 distinct steps that you should follow to participate:
Fund your wallet with eligible tokens.
Swap your selected amount of tokens for DEUS receipt tokens. There will multiple waves that you will be able to participate in.
View your portfolio of DEUS receipt or claim tokens.
Claim your official DEUS tokens after all the genesis waves have completed.
The first step is to connect your metamask wallet. Start by clicking the connect button at the top right corner of the genesis auction website. PEAQ is a substrate and EVM compatible blockchain. Ensure eligible tokens are on peaq's EVM.
The Genesis Auction portal only supports Metamask.
If you already have a wallet, you should import it into Metamask. You may use your hardware wallet.
If you don’t have a wallet, you will need to create a new one by following this "peaq wallet setup guide".
You will need PEAQ to interact with the peaq network. Every transaction on the peaq network has a transaction fee that must be paid in PEAQ. This fee is usually referred to as a ‘gas’ fee.
There are several ways to purchase PEAQ tokens.

The Peaq network is cost-effective, so you won’t need many PEAQ tokens to pay for transactions. PEAQ is also used to bid and swap for DEUS. Make sure to fund your wallet with enough PEAQ tokens.
To participate in the auction, you will need Bid Tokens. Those are the tokens that are eligible and can be used to acquire DEUS receipt tokens.
The first wave will use PEAQ tokens exclusively. Ensure you fund your wallet with the necessary PEAQ tokens to participate.
More token options will be offered in subsequent waves.
On the Genesis Auction website (genesis.xmaquina.io), you can check the status of the latest auction right on the homepage. The auction will consist of multiple waves, with as many waves as needed to sell all the community tokens. We expect the auction to conclude within 4 to 5 waves.
You can sign up to receive email notifications about the start of each auction wave. While each wave is expected to last about two weeks, high demand may cause a wave to close within just a few hours.

Terms may vary with each wave:
Early Waves: Lower swap rates.
Later Waves: Higher swap rates with potentially different unlock percentages at TGE, depending on demand and market conditions.
For each wave, you’ll see:
Swap rate (per DEUS).
Unlocked Supply at TGE.
Follow these steps to complete your swap:
Enter the Amount: Decide how much you want to swap and input the amount.
Verify: Double-check that the amount is correct.
Confirm with MetaMask: Approve the transaction in your MetaMask wallet.
Sign the Transaction: Complete the process by signing in MetaMask.
The transaction typically takes about 10 seconds. You can monitor its status on-chain via the “My Swaps” section.
After the transaction is confirmed on-chain, you can check your balance using:
