# Genesis Auction

The DEUS Genesis Auction levels the playing field, breaking away from the typical VC-dominated model and enabling everyone to participate on equal terms. Designed to distribute ownership of DEUS to the public while bootstrapping the DAO’s treasury, this fair auction builds a strong, engaged community and lays the foundation for decentralized governance from the start.

## How The Waves Work

Each wave of the genesis auction has its own parameters, such as the token quantity available, the funding token or the duration of the sale. As each wave concludes, new participants receive receipt tokens, and join existing stakeholders, broadening the community.

This incremental approach avoids the rush of a single event and helps prevent large swings in token ownership. By allowing multiple opportunities to join, it also ensures that a broader audience is aware of the XMAQUINA DAO.

## Why A Multi-Wave Auction

A multi-wave format lets people observe the evolution of the sale and make informed decisions before committing. This appraoch aims to create a steady, well-distributed base of token holders who believe in the DAO’s long-term vision and want to contribute to its growth.
